EIGHT BA-FUNNY COMEDIANS - A RINGFLASH AND A STEPLADDER, THIS IS WHAT YOU GET!
I havent had a chance to post any of these photos but what with Bafana beating Ghana last night in the football I thought it was only appropriate. I must say I did chuckle to myself whilst photographing these specimens.
Barry Hilton - what a guy. John Vlismas - fuck what a mouth, shit did i just say f@#k! Loyiso Gola - the man kept stealing other peoples lines. Nic Rabinowitz - his Peter Div impersonation is too special. Trevor Noah - had a bit on an off day but he is making up for it cashing in on pimping himself out to the Cell networks, go guy. Kagiso Lediga - hahaha …. have you seen him in the Savannah Ad? Mark Banks - the funniest and quickest of the lot, a true master and last but not least Mark Lottering - thanks for getting out of bed Mark, he can turn it on when he has to!
These guys went on to a sold out Royal Albert Hall in London, congratulations !!
Back from photographing the Lalesso SS11 fashion range in the South of Kenya near Mombasa. The clothes are looking really good and the designers Alice & Olive have done a great job with the up coming line.
The locations in Kenya are really something else, Mombasa old town is very cool and has an authentic distressed look about it, as does the railway station.
Here is a bag campaign that I photographed for designer Hanneli Rupert in Cape Town. The bags are quite exquisite and I am considering defecting to the man bag camp.
I hope the SHE goddess of our lovely Gaye McDonald from Vision Models comes through in the pictures, she surely has a striking stare. Hanneli drew her inspiration for the shoot from painter JW Waterhouse, and was very clear on what the final product should look like.
What a great team! Thanks must go to Robyn Nissen on hair & make up, Ernst Heusser and Matt Thomas who assisted me. Also thank you Matt for a great retouch job. Behind the scenes video to be posted soon.
This article came out on the 6th of June in the UK’s Mail on Sunday Supplement …YOU magazine. It outlines Lady Sally Graaff’s ordeal with having a son as an addict and how he has turned his life around. Johnny now runs the Montrose Group which has a number rehabilitation clinics in and around Cape Town, as well as opening his first clinic abroad in Kensington, London.
We use more environmentally friendly gas, why don’t you?
This portrait campaign directly asks people in the less mainstream organic environment the question. Commissioned by Belgium based agency Morris Chapman.
